    Biology

    Docent in the Faculty of Medicine of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Leader of the National Biology Team since 2009. Member of the NSOTA 's Board of Directors.

  • Alexander Velinov

    Linguistics

    Coach of the National Mathematical Linguistics Team and National Champion of Mathematical Linguistics. He was a chairman of the Mathematics and Linguistics Section of the Union of Bulgarian Mathematicians in 2008, increasing the number of children involved in mathematical linguistics from 70 to 300, training teachers and creating new schools. He was a senior consultant at the International Olympiad in Mathematical Linguistics in Beijing 2014. He has trained students who have won more than 30 medals for Bulgaria since the International Olympiad, 6 of which are also in the Hall of Fame, two of them being declared a "dream team" with medals from each team member.

  • Anton Shikov

    Informatics

    He is an owner and manager of a small IT Company in Yambol, Bulgaria. Member of Bulgarian National Committee for Olympiads in Informatics since 2010. Former participant in IOI 1996 in Hungary and in BOI 1995 in Bulgaria. Leader of Bulgarian National team for several international competitions during last years. He is also teacher in local programing school in his hometown.

  • DANIELA TSEKOVA

    Chemistry

    Chief Assistant, PhD, Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at Sofia University "St. Kl. Ohridski ". Former participant in the 24th IChO - 1992, Pittsburgh, USA. Member of the National commission for organizing the Olympiad in Chemistry and participant in the preparation of the team for the International Olympiad in Chemistry since 2000. Head of the national team for participation in the International Mendeleevska Olympiad for students since 2005.

  • Donka Tasheva

    Chemistry

    Docent at the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Teacher of organic and bio-organic chemistry. Member of the National Commission for Organizing the Olympiad in Chemistry and Environmental Protection, Head of the ICHO participation team since 2004. Author of tasks for a district, a national round for the chemistry Olympiad, as well as a selective control for determining the team of Bulgaria for the International Chemistry Olympiad. 

  • Emil Kelevedjiev

    Chief assistant at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. President of the National Commision for Informatics olympiads. Leader of the National Informatics Team since 2009. Member of the NSOTA's Board of Directors.

  • Emil Kolev

    Mathematics

    Doctor of Mathematical Sciences, Professor at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Head of UchIMI since 2015. Since 1992 he has been involved with preparing students for competitions, olympiads and other competitions, working with talented children who want to pursue mathematics. He has been the head of the National Mathematical Teams since 1999 and is actively involved in the preparation of our Olympians.

  • Hristo Chanev

    Chemistry

    Docent in the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Chairman of the Bulgarian Comission for Organization and Preparation for Chemistry Olympiads. Leader of the National Chemistry Team since 2007. Director of the Chemistry laboratory "America for Bulgaria". Vice president of NSOTA's Board of Directors.

  • Krasimir Manev

    Informatics

    Prof. Krassimir Manev graduated from Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (FMI) at the Sofia University with mathematics, with specialization in theoretical foundations of informatics. From 1976 to 2013, he taught Discrete mathematics, algorithms and programming at FMI at SU, and since 2013 he also teaches at New Bulgarian University (NBU). He has repeatedly been head of the Bulgarian teams for participation in International and Balkan Olympiads. He is a member of the International Committee of IOI in the periods 2001 – 2003 and 2006 – 2013 and is president of IOI in 2009, and from 2014 to 2017.

    Professor in the Faculty of Physics at Sofia University. President of the National commission for the National competitions in Physics since 2005. Leader of the Bulgarian team in Physics since 2003.  

  • Neno Todorov

    Physics

    Chief assistant at the Faculty of Physics of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Member of the National Commission for Organizing the Physics Olympiad since 2014. Leader of the Physics Team participated in the Romanian Master of Physics (2010, 2016, 2017, Bucharest, Romania); European Physics Olympiad (2017, Tartu, Estonia); International Olympiad in Physics (2017, Yogyakarta, Indonesia). 

  • Nikola Karavasilev

    Astronomy, Astronomy & astrophysics

    Ph.d. at the Faculty of Physics of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Leader of the National Astronomy Team since 2009. Competior in the International Astronomy Olympiad in 2003. Member of the NSOTA's Board of Directors.

  • Pavlin Peev

    Informatics

    Teacher of Informatics at Geo Milev High School in Stara Zagora.

  • PENKA VASSILEVA

    Chemistry

    She teaches lectures on general and inorganic chemistry. Involved in scientific researches with students, magistrates and PhD students. Prepares high school students for participation in national and international olympiads in chemistry. She is the head of Bulgaria's team for participation in international chemistry olympiads. She is an author of tasks and tests for competition exams and chemistry olympiads, as well as a textbooks for secondary education.

  • Peter Boyvalenkov

    Mathematics

    He is currently working at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, where he is a professor of Algebra and number theory. He has been  involved in olympiads since the school age when he was a regular participant. In 2004, he joined the Deputy Head of the Balkan Team, then as Team Leader, then as Deputy Head of the National Team at the International Olympiad, and now as Head of the National Team at the International Olympiad.

  • Radoslav Alexandrov

    Biology

    PhD student at the Institute of Molecular Biology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

  • Rusko Shikov

    Informatics

    He has been teaching at the Informatics School since 1978/9 known as "Shikovi". For years, he has been preparing national contestants in informatics, some of them with many international awards. He has a business in the IT sphere.

  • Veselin Zlatilov

    Linguistics

    He graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski "in 1986, specialty" Geometry ", then specializing in mechanics. From 2009 to 2013 he worked as an editor in mathematics at Publishing House "Prosveta - Sofia". Currently, he continues to work as a teacher of mathematics. He is also head of mathematical linguistics schools in elite metropolitan schools. In 2010, he was appointed as teacher of the year in mathematics.

  • Victor Ivanov

    Physics

    Associate Professor at the Department of General Physics, Faculty of Physics, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ". Co-author of textbooks for man and nature for the middle course and for physics and astronomy for the upper course. He is the head of the Bulgarian national team of physics and has won many medals at international physics Olympiads; Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Physics.
