Biology
The International Biology Olympiad is the most prestigious Biology competition for students in the world. Bulgaria is one of the six countries - founders of the Olympiad back in 1989. Our competitors have taken part in the very first edition of the International Biology Olympiad that took place in Chezchoslovakia in 1990. Leader of the national team is docent Albena Yordanova.
By 2018 the Bulgarian competitors have won 59 medals at all: 5 golden, 11 silver and 43 bronze ones plus an honorary diploma.
