Chemistry team

The very first edition of the International Chemistry Olympiad is in 1968 and Bulgaria has been part of it since 1969 when it took place in Poland. The participants in the Bulgarian national team are being chosen between the first ones in the National round of the Chemistry Olympiad. In 1982 Bulgaria hosted the international event that took place in Burgas.
Leaders of the national team of Bulgaria are docent Donka Tasheva and docent Hristo Chanev.

During the time period 1999 - 2019, the Bulgarian participants in IChO have won 53 medals: 5 golden, 11 silver and 36 bronze ones!

LNSOTA supports the participation of the Bulgarian national team in Chemistry in the The International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad as well.
